New Author

This is the first book from author Thomas P Ludlow and is based on his own experiences of dealing with life crises. Based on decades of reading and research he has created a three phase, six stage recovery roadmap, specifically for men.

According to the UK charity Centre for Policy Research on Men and Boys, more men die in the UK of suicide than by any other cause.Three times more men die by suicide each year than die in car accidents, and three out of four UK suicides are male. In the UK, FOURTEEN men die by suicide every day.

Tom hopes that by sharing his story and his ideas he can do, at least something, to try and help.

His book LIFE CRISIS RECOVERY FOR MEN has a Foreword written by the Chair of Smaritans UK & Ireland, Keith Leslie.

Life has a nasty habit of kicking us in the guts from time to time, usually when we least expect it and at the most inconvenient moment.

A crisis might shatter our future dreams and aspirations; an exam failure perhaps, or a severe injury that ends a promising sporting career. The crisis might involve our career, finances or business through redundancy or bankruptcy. It might be deeply personal and tragic, such as the death of a child, partner or close friend. It could involve the breakdown of a relationship, discovering adultery or being separated from our children. Or it might be a medical crisis affecting us or somebody we love.

Becoming a victim of financial scams like romance fraud or investment fraud. Perhaps sexual blackmail (sextortion), bullying, physical assault or street robbery. Perhaps bad choices and addictions that have spiralled you out of control. Perhaps you are being falsely accused of something you haven't done.

Whatever the cause, these crisis events can suddenly engulf our lives, leaving us overwhelmed by despair, sorrow, confusion and fear.

The sad fact is that some men don't get out of a crisis alive!

The book has two types of reader in mind

The book has been written with two types of reader in mind. Firstly it is aimed at men who are looking to improve their resilience before a crisis hits them. If they have been through a crisis before it will help them to understand the recovery process better.

The book is also aimed at people who are supporting a person in crisis, or who want to prepare themselves for doing so in the future. The book has clear practical advice and guidance for supporters.

This is a book that every household should have at least one copy of and everyone should be encouraged to read it. That includes Mums, Dads, Boys and Girls.
